Day 115: Month Wrap Up

GOAL: 133lb
RESULT: 135lb
TOTAL LOSS: 2 lbs

It kind of sucks but I'm okay with it. At least I lost SOMETHING and I got through Thanksgiving.

GOAL FOR DEC: 130lb - 5 lbs.

Yes I know there will be christmas but I also will be dancing a lot throughout the month, what with two big dance weekends. I think I can do it! Especially if I'm super good at the beginning of the month.

As for working out this month a little slack but I did what I could. Hope to keep that up if not more through Dec since I have less school.

Day 191: Going a long

I usually maintain a fast lead in the first of the month and the rest is damage control (from holidays and trying not to lose to fast).

I was 137 by the end though! My goal reached. I may be back to 138 now though.

Goal for this month: 133. Oi Thanksgiving don't fail me now.

Wish I could work out more... but at least I dance as much as possible and workout every sunday.

I wish my arms were thinnier... I have a feeling that will be the last place to show weight loss.

Day 159: Normal BMI Ville

So just checking in for my monthly goal update.


This past month I haven't been able to work out as much due to school starting full swing plus sickness. I have been trying to dance more and eat better to make up for it.

I plan on continuing this plus hopefully I'll keep up with Yogilates on sundays too.

Today I did that plus some leg machines and boy did I miss it! I semi kept up with my pushups, I can do 6-8ish full ones.

Weight.

A month ago I was at 145 according to wii fit. Today I'm 140! I've been going in and out of normal bmi (the marker is 141) but now I'm firmly in it and and hope to stay there.

So yes I'm happy reached my goals though I do hope to try to work out more. My arms are still fatties.

GOAL for OCT: 136lbs.

DAY 125: I'm not off the wagon yet

Maybe with the blog but I have been very successful and currently at my lightest weight in 3 years!

I'm 145.5 pounds or 12.5 lbs lost since the beginning. 3ish or more lbs since we last talked. I wanted to lose more by this point but that's fine. I'm still losing... despite 2 vacations and a anniversary plus I now can do 6 pushups! Plus I'm adding a lot of muscle. I started the challenge over with regular push ups.

Got the Wii Fit.. LOVE IT! Really fun to work out with and its a constant motivator. I haven't done a lot of group exercise due to schedule/vacation but I did start back up yesterday with a Yogilates class. Really liked it a lot and hope to do it every Sunday.

During the week it will be very hard to work out though (though atleast I can do my wiifit). I might try to do it in between classes or at least bike to schoole once or twice a week. No promises though because with 5 classes I'm running around without my head on as it is.

But yeah my weight was seasawing but I'm finally back in the grove and feeling more in control.

My goal for the end of September is 141. Which would make me officially not overweight, bmi wise! Still though I have 20 pounds from right now to get where I want to be 125. Normal bmi. Any skinner I don't think my body would look that good as. We'll see how it goes though. I hope to be that weight by mid spring if not early. Still gives me 6 months.

So yeah all is good!

Day 89: Lots has happened

Wiifit!

Is starting to turn me around! Despite another holiday food binge... blah.


So since last time I weighed in on wed. at 148! So I'm under 150lb.

I've changed my workout plan now that I got the wiifit (as of this past wed.) I hope I stick with it. I definately feel hopefull.

Basically I'm giving up the 100 pushup challenge... I just was always sore and it wasn't heading me towards what I wanted to do. It wasn't balanced enough. But... it did help me out a lot. I went from doing 11 pushups on my knees to 34 straight! And... I can do full pushups! SO I consider it a success.


So I plan to do atleast 30 minutes on the wiifit every other day (doing all ranges of excercises including strength). Then on the odd days I'll do like 15, mostly yoga and cardio. Plus I want to do as many public yoga classes as my schedule allows.

But wiifit is nice becuase it is motivational, fun and makes me sweat! Very cool indeed.

You weight in every day and today I was back up to 150... :( I set my goal of 2 lbs every 2 weeks on the wii fit so still 1 lb a week. So that means I have to be 147lbs by next wed. I think I can still do it. I'll try to be sensible tuesday night at my anniversary dinner......


ANd then I'll be traveling for 4 days! Oi... I'll try to swim in my family's pool though and do some yoga on my own and not go crazy on food.

Day 80: doing well

So my diet has been very well lately! Other than a bad day on Monday I've been very balanced.


I didn't really get to work out until Wednesday when I did....

- 30 min of cardio
-day 1 of week 3 of pushup challenge
- 1 minute of the plank
- leg machines
-1 hr of yoga
-dance

Man I'm still sore.....

Yesterday I rested.

Today I plan to do some yogilates and day 2 of week 3 of the pushups. Plus dance!

Not sure if I'll do yoga tommorrow... Probably will try.

Weighed in Wed at 152lb. :/ That's okay. I have to ignore it and continue. I will make progress.

My goal for next week is 150lbs.

Day 75: Where has all the will power gone?

So... I definitely don't want this blog to become proof of another fallen willpower hero.


I have to keep this up because I can't do this now... how will I be when I am still working and have 5 classes?

And now of course it the fear of getting back on the horse... will I be able to perform.


But over the last week I really have missed that sense of activity. And today is another day.


So the past week...

-no yoga :( Missed it due to being out of town.
- didn't get to weight in because I wasn't at the gym
- ate.... ok. A C overall. I'm still hoping to meet my goal of 149 this week mostly but just eating properly. This may be too optimistic. I'll be happy if I manage just to stay at 151lbs.
-Kept up with week 3 of the pushup challenge. I did my first pushup at a party on Friday! This girl from the airforce taught me! I think I still will wait a little bit before restarting the challenge. I'll be doing Day 3 today plus dancing.

Atleast I've been dancing. I'm still sore from Friday. Definately felt a little out of shape.


Plan for the week.

Monday - Yoga at home at night (I work until 8pm :() So who knows if I'll be able to follow through.
Tues - Week 4 day one and some cardio
Wed - yoga/machines/cardio
Thurs - Week 4 day two and some cardio (Yoga in the morning?)
Fri - Dance (yoga in the morning?)
Sat - Yoga and Day three of pushup challenge.
Sun - Dance and rest

We'll see... pretty ambitious but I really need to get my rear in gear.

Breathing properly helps with the pushups. And keeping that tummy tight.

Day 68: start all over

So the last few days have been hectic.... And not that productive excercise wise.

Thursday - ate badly and didn't finish my pushups (decided to do them when I was drunk)
Friday - Danced outside for 3.5 hours..... Ate a A-
Saturday - Dance a little at a wedding.... Ate a D...
Sunday - nothing.... Ate a B...

So as you can see I slowly dissolved into badness. Did no yoga due to general soreness and tiredness and holidayness.

My plan?

Well tommorrow is austin's b-day so I'm guessing even if I eat good all morning I'll be screwed by night. Also no time for fitness other than my pushups (I'm going to repeat week 3).

Tuesday-cardio

Wed - cardio, yoga, pushups (and pray I meat my mark).

We'll plan from there...

Day 64: Calooooooo Ca LLLLAAAYYYY

So yesterday was great fitness wise other than not getting to due cardio due to work overflowing into real life.

I...

- did Yoga and rocked

I had some major break throughs.

1. I can do a back bend (man it feels like I'll snap in two) and lift one leg!
2. I did crow pose for like a second... but much improved from my first starts
3. Almost got my leg over my head.

- did some leg machines

- ate an A-

- weighed in at 151lbs! The lightest yet so far! I lost 2 lbs this week! What a surprise. I ate badly but I was active so that must have helped.

I didn't meet this month's goal of 150 (though in the morning I may have been) but my birthday didn't totally screw me over so I'm happy.

NEXT MONTH'S GOAL: 146 (1 pound a week)
THIS WEEK'S GOAL: 150lb

Today I will do my pushup challenge and a warmup (whether cardio or sun salutes).

Day 63: Munchies defeated!

Hello!

So yesterday turned out better then expected.

I made my favorite asian mix + tofu + veggies! Perfect for one meal and one lunch (usually better cold).

I....

-Day 1 Week 3 pushup challenge

I tried to stick to the rest allotments but it was near impossible. But I did it! I did my min max of 25.

- Ate a B (had a few too many biscuits after dinner).


I was a round a lot of people munching and drinking and I prevailed! Didn't have a bite! Tkae that Brantt! ;P

I'm really trying to be extra good due to the past week's transgressions. Plus I have weigh in today.....


I'm a little worried but I think it will still be much better than expected.

Today I'm gonna do some cardio and do yoga.

Day 62: Chugging Along

Ate well yesterday. Went to be early in hopes I would:

a) have more energy
b) resist a late night snack.

Its hard going back to smaller portions but I'm sure I'll be glad for it soon enough... Just need to get through the crankiness.

I ate a B+ yesterday.

Day 61: Start all Over

As of any birthday holiday I feel like I totally screwed my diet. I'm a little worried for weigh and and I'll be happy if I at least stayed at 153. I'm kind of ashamed. But I'll just have to continue.

A sum up of activity since Friday:

Friday:

-danced
-fat burning pilates mat work

-canoed for 1.5 hours

I had to retest my max and I did 25. I could have maybe pushed it past 25 (which goes into the third tier) but I'm kind of glad I didn't. I was starting to get sloppy.. and honestly I'm not sure I could handle the third tier which starts as 25 in just the starting round.

I'll continue with week 3 tomorrow.

Mon is usually my work out day but I feel it may become a struggle since its a full day of work and class and its right out of the weekend. Today after all the camping I definately don't have exercise in me other than some pushups.

I'm gonna try to keep it my workout day but just do it via tape at home.

Wed: Yoga/cardio
Thurs: pushup challenge
Fri: Yoga?/dance
Sat: Yoga?/pushup challenge/dance

Yoga will depend on how my schedule works out... its gonna be a super busy weekend.

day 57: big belly

So I knew weigh in was going to be bad. It wasn't horrid... but I was 153. Which meant I was 1.5 lbs heavier. I feel like its all in my belly.... ohwelll.... I'm still setting next wed's goal to 150lb because I feel this weight is temporary "bloating". I just need to get my priorities in line.

Yesterday I....


-napped in my car so only did 10 minutes of elliptical
- hour of yoga (so many newbies in class!)
- 15min of leg machines
- day 2 of week 2 pushup challenge. Maxed out at the min of 15 pushups. Feeling good though about the challenge. It's hard but I can get through it.


-Today i will rest other then 30 minutes on the elliptical to make up for yesterday.


Yesterday I ate a B-. Really good until late at night when Tom made pizza... though at least the pizza was fresh and had better for me ingredients than a normal pizza.

Day 54: All is well

So I've been super busy/gone all weekend at a dance exchange. I definitely got my cardio... and BOY did I feel good.

Yoga has improved my flexibility, endurance and balance IMMENSELY. And I'm getting annoying with how much I rave about it. It has definitely changed my life.

The whole time dancing I felt confident and lean. I felt beautiful and I danced well. It definitely was a confidence booster...

I did end up doing day 3 week1 of the pushup challenge, only on Saturday. That went well. Did the min max of 15.


My goal is now 150-150.5lb for this week! Which is the month's goal! I trust the scale at the gym and I'm there Wednesdays, so that will have to be my end of week weigh. It seems I'm on target. I was 150 last wednesday. I wish I could trust my scale at home. :/

I ate pretty okay this weekend. Not horribly but I had some beer at the dances. I give myself a B-.

Today I....

- 45 min. Yogilates DVD

GREAT! I loved it!

- Week 2 Day 1 of Pushup challenge. Did the min max of 10. Feeling stronger though. Still doing modified pushups. :/

day 51: To pushup or not to pushup?

Hi!

So the question is whether not to do the pushup challenge today. I may at least wait until Saturday. Just because Wed. after doing it my follow arm's shoulder hurt...badly. Which if I'm going to be dancing all weekend I do not want to aggravate it!


Yesterday eat wise I could have been better towards the end but I wasn't HORRIBLE.

My scale is wonky so I have no idea what my progress is. I need a new one. But if its right I'm already 149LB. That doesn't seem right... Though man that would be great!

I'm not worried about exercise this weekend. Sadly I can't go to Yoga. :/ But the great news is I'll be dancing 12 hours a day! From 2pm to 5am with minor breaks.

Though watch me wimp out at like 2am cuz I'm an old geezer who loves her bed.

day 49: Wrap up

I was good today. Though I will be eating a sliver of cake later on.

I ate: A++!

Instead of pilates I:

-28 min of eliptical or 2.2 miles.
-lots of leg machines
-day 2 week1 of pushup challenge. I maxed out on 12! The min was 10. Too bad I was shaking by the end...
-Hour of yoga.... sweated... felt good. Though my balance has been off.


Tomorrow is my day off and that's good... I am starting to really feel the pushups getting to me. Once thing nice about yoga is it doesn't leave me sore... just tired.

I forgot my tennis shoes so I had to work out in slip ons... egh. I hope to not to forget shoes again.


Feeling good!

And best of all I checked my weight at the gym (a reliable scale) and I was a solid 151lb! I'm already past my goal. I have a feeling my scale is crappier than I thought. My goal for sunday is now 150lbs!


Okay yes.. rest tomorrow. But work tonight - S

Day 49: Plan it Out

Today I will:

-Eat Well (Yesterday I gave myself a B in eating habits :/)
-do 30 minutes on the eliptical
-weight lift my knees
-do day 2, week1 of pushup challenge
-do hour yoga class
-dance

Don't think I will do pilates nad then yoga on Wed. anymore. I like the teacher.. but its slow and I could use the cardio of the eliptical more.

I do feel like I'm looking better... still wavering at 154-155 though.

Day 48: Success!

Woke up and I'm back to 154lb. Back on track... I'm sure I can hit the goal mark this weekend.

So I'll be missing yoga Sat but I'm sure I'll get my exercise.


Today is a day of rest... I just need to eat well.

Day 47: Wrapup

Today I ate well (A-).

I did 30 minutes on the eliptical (3 miles worth).

I did some pilates for my stomach.

I started the push up challenge.

Unfortunately I still cannot do one single pushup... so I had to start on my knees. Maxed out at 10 (but that was after doing about 40 in rounds).

Felt good. I hope it won't be long til I can do a single pushup so I can restart and follow the program.

Felt good today, did a lot of chores, got work done.

Still have loads to do by deadline tonight.

So night and let's hope tomorrow is just as good.

Day 47: Woke up at 12.

Meant to wake up at 10:30. Ohwells.

My cardio pilates class was canceled and a yoga class is replacing it... don't think I will go. I have to get stuff done around the house.

DAY 46: Wrapup

Today I...

30 mins of Cardio Pilates (sweated my butt off.. hopefully)
3 hours of dance practice
hundred push up challenge initial test.

I could do ZERO.. I can get down to the ground but not push up. I can hold myself well (thank you yoga) just lack the pushing of the up.

Austin and Tom are doing it with me.

Austin did 29 push ups. Tom did 19.

Austin had to show me how to do a "proper" pushup elbows out and I just felt my muscles ripping...

I can do 10 on my knees though... so if I still can't do a push up tomorrow after rest than I'm going to start the program on my knees until I can do one pushup. Then I'll restart the program. :/ Which will suck to be behind the others.

So yes we start tomorrow!

Eating habits wise I give myself a B-. Bad breakfast, good dinner. Ohweels.

DAY 46: Hello Eating World

I've decided to just create a blog especially for my dieting measurement. I'm not gonna go as far as make it a food diary. Just a place to chronicle my goals and chastise myself.

STARTED: 158
WEIGHT NOW: 154lb
GOAL FOR NEXT SUN: 153lb
GOAL FOR MONTH: 150lb
GOAL BY NEXT MAY: 130lb
(though if I keep on track I may make it sooner)

So I really started in the beginning of may so that would make this day 46. Though not very seriously until 2 weeks ago or so. But I suppose I should count from May because that was the time I had the epiphany that I actually do like exercise.

Last night was a wash I drank and then ate a lot. Somehow I didn't gain weight but that also meant I didn't lose any. So today to make up for it I hope to eat well and do one of my pilates video. Plus I have dance practice tonight.

But I also have a million other things to do.

Tomorrow I start: http://hundredpushups.com/ in a hundred days. Along with Kitzzy, Jason, Tom and maybe Austin if I can convince him.

So yeah I have tons of things to do... so adeiu.
